		<description><![CDATA[FIDE says chess is a sport too, but sport of the mind.  If chess is accepted, that will open the floodgates - all similar boardgames will want in too. Eg, the World Bridge Federation (WBF) wants the card game of bridge to be included.

One reason is that the IOC wants to control the number of sports because the Olympics is simply getting too big/too many events i.e. difficult to manage. When Jacques Rogge became IOC president in 2001, he limited the number to 28 sports.

Even arguably more established sports than squash like rugby, golf, baseball and karate are not in the Olympics. It&#039;s going to be tough.]]></description>
