The slowest traditional dance in the world

    March 30th, 2009

For a long time I thought that the traditional dance with the slowest rhythm and movement is of the Dusun Lotud, an indigenous group in Sabah:

But during my time in Okinawa, Japan I saw this dance, apparently known as “yotsu no take,” literally meaning “the four bamboos”:

Have you seen such hats anywhere else?

Also, please tell me if you have seen any other laidback traditional dances from anywhere in the world.

… in any case, when it comes to managing one’s size, any physical activity, slow dancing included, is better than gobbling up a diet pill
