You mean, out of 14 Sabahans, 4 didnt make it?

I read somewhere that the other exco pemuda from Sabah is Mohd Gasing Saling, UMNO youth chief for P191 Kalabakan (ref: http://tawaukini.com/?p=328). If I’m not mistaken, he was my senior at SBPS 24 years ago.

Sabahans won 10 posts at the just concluded UMNO general assembly.

Shafie Afdal – Vice President, Rosnah Shirlin – Puteri Chief, Supreme Council – 3 of them – Musa Aman, Lajim Ukin and Bung Moktar..

another 5 winners – 2 for wanita exco member – Datuk Armani Mahiruddin (Wanita UMNO Sabah Chief) and Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun (Adun Klias)…. another 2 for Exco Pemuda – Jamawi Jaafar (Ketua Pemuda UMNO Tenom) and another Sabahan guy and also another Sabahan girl for Exco Puteri UMNO Malaysia…

as for other contenders like Gunta, Mosikin, Dunik and the Great Sabud – their names were nowhere to be seen on the list of delegates!!!!!!!!!

PWTC has been the scene of many memories,

I remember sometime in 1997 at PWTC – I was part of the SUK Perak – MAMPU team [then headed by Dr Raja Malik] giving an ICT course to all Perak state assemblymen, including apparently one of the youngest ever ADUN in history, a 21-year old fellow.

Then suddenly everyone stood up, and the then Deputy PM entered the room – who else but Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

That was my first and last sight of him as the DPM, as we all know what happened to him a year later.

Then in February 2009, I nearly bumped into him at KLIA as he was walking so fast out of the airport.
