Art at the Euro Fun Fair flouted Malaysian decency laws?

    February 16th, 2009

The Euro Fun Fair at Kota Kinabalu located next to Wisma Tun Fuad just ended its stint on 8th February 2009.

Some of the art deployed were quite interesting.

For example, the backdrop to the popular Tagada ride:

The last time I visited this fun fair was 3 years ago, on 15th January 2006 (it was then located at the construction site of Suria Sabah), they used the same backdrop for the Tagada, but with even less clothes on:

The lady in the middle is apparently topless. So is the one on the right, only sheets of paper cover her modesty.

However, looking closer, the lady on the right is apparently totally naked!

The management must’ve had warning or even fine then, resulting in the current backdrop.

    More borderline controversial art there

Roda Impian & Deal or No Deal?

What is gambling: any game offering prizes with an element of chance i.e. not relying on skill to win?

it’s an art but i know our law quite strict about this but seems no complaints so there’s no action taken

watch deal or no deal on NTV7 – it is a game of chance – main teka2 saja bahhhh….. kalau kena menang besar, kalau miss menang kecil –

just like 4d – main teka2 juga – nobody know wether 5636 will come out as 1st prize in lotto 88 draw tommorrow….

roda impian also – main teka2 – main pusing2 roda – kalau silap – bangkrap…. i watched this programme, few years ago – and i had seen participants who got ZERO and went home empty handed…. so both are games of chances = gambling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Reading further, some interesting things:

This guy explains that “Deal or no deal” is not gambling,
    http://www.mydollarplan.com/deal-or-no-deal-gambling-with-math/

And even affirmed by a court of law in the US:
    http://www.casinogamblingweb.com/gambling-news/gambling-law/_deal_or_no_deal_gambling_lawsuit_thrown_out_of_court_48466.html

However, according to this discussion, according to Islam, Roda Impian is OK but Who Wants to be a Millionaire is NOT:
