My Maybank Card became unusable. I brought the card to Maybank Lintas for checking. They found out that my card was blocked due to wrong pin entered more than 3 times. As my card was ripped a bit on the magnetic stripe, the guy there issued a new card for me. He didn't ask for my bank book. He only checked my IC and thumb print. 15 minutes later, my new card was ready :D and I think that was so efficient of them In my case was a little bit different.. My Maybank Card became unusable. In my case long time ago at another bank, I keyed in the wrong PIN 3x and my ATM card was swallowed by the ATM machine! To retrieve it from the bank, I just produced the passbook. Blocking and unblocking are news to me though! Not a wate of time but rather on the side of caution, IMHO.
