The most popular SMS joke about Pakatan Rakyat’s federal government takeover making the rounds in Sabah

    September 19th, 2008

I received this from at least 3 different persons today, none exactly the same, all “fine-tuned”, but the punchline was always the same:

BREAKING NEWS. 18 Sept, Kota Kinabalu. Pada jam 10.30 pagi Dato’ Seri Anwar telah mendapat 30 kerusi dari Sabah… sumbangan Chan Furniture!!!

    In English:

BREAKING NEWS. 18 Sept, Kota Kinabalu. At 10.30am Dato’ Seri Anwar got 30 seats in Sabah… donated by Chan Furniture!!!

Note: Chan Furniture is one of the biggest furniture chains in Sabah.

I think all of our brains have been permanently tuned to the takeover talk: the moment we hear or read about “Anwar” and “seat” we immediately think of the purported 916 D-Day which apparently has been delayed.
