The most expensive public toilet in Kota Kinabalu can be found at 1Borneo
July 2nd, 2008Many bloggers have mentioned the second Kota Kinabalu Jazz Festival which was held on the 21st of June 2008 at 1Borneo, that “Largest Lifestyle Hypermall” in Borneo, the 3rd largest island in the world.
It was a great event, and amongst others, the Aseana Percussion Unit showed how to please the crowd. First, get down from the stage and play your instrument among them:

Then take it one step further: give the audience members your instruments, get them up on stage and let them play, in essence let them be temporary bandmembers:

Surefire crowd-winning tactic.
Echoing what others have said, one could’ve seen the concert without even paying anything, and the view from the first floor’s even better than the RM50 seats. Heck, freeloaders had a better view of some of the performers than those in the most expensive seats!
So, for the third festival, you know what to do…
Anyway, on the same level as the concert is surely Kota Kinabalu’s most expensive public toilet, the so-called Platinum Club VIP Toilet, where you had to pay RM1 to enter.
Sure enough, there are aromatics and LCD screens inside, and sinks in every room:

One complaint: it ran out of toilet paper…

Eeeuuww yellowish water …
LOL.. LCD screen? Ok ahhhhhhh.. what for…. To stay longer in the toilet…
They ask for 50 sen in Warisan square.. i told the makcik “Tandas pun makan duit kah?”
The toilets in Singapore are subperb and you can enter for free….
Think about it,
Paying doesn’t necessarily make people flush right? There are extremely gross people out there…
Ben.. ko yang nda flush ka tu??? hahahha that was the first thing that I noticed in that photo! Heheheh
Aiya… didnt notice it.
phew and i thought i was the only one to notice the yellow water..
Where’s these vip toilets located in 1Borneo? Cuz I went to the one near Sushi King and it looks the same as other public toilets. But badly constructed though.. really poor workmanship. So ketara mau rush to finish this.. isk!
It’s located quite near to the Dome, same floor. I think it’s right outside Secret Recipe.
I have yet to set foot in 1Borneo and already I heard they are charging RM5 for parking!
Betulkah?
Well, I went there last Saturday (12th July) at mid-day and parked underground. There’s at least one big banner that says “F.O.C. parking till further notice”, and the security guards let me in free.
