Have you seen or taken a more beautiful Kota Kinabalu sunset photo?

    June 18th, 2008

TV Smith went to Sabah recently and took breathtaking photographs, then published them in his website, including a stunning photograph of Kota Kinabalu’s sunset, taken from his hotel room.

Being a fan of sunsets, I don’t think I have seen one better captured on camera. Talking about sunsets, I think we need to slow down more and appreciate these amazing, huge “paintings” in the sky that lasts only a few minutes every day; I don’t think even Michelangelo could match these great frescoes of the heavens. In fact, on Sunday around 6.30pm while at Grace Point I saw this on the sky:

OK back to TV Smith: he also took some street photography that ranks among the very best I have ever seen, including a photograph of whitewater rafting in Kiulu while being watched by a buffalo.

Heck, he even managed to make Kampung Likas look beautiful!

Sabah is one of the most beautiful state on our country, if not the most.
The people are among the friendliest in our country, true Malaysians, no colour, no religion, no bullshit! I have had bad experiences too, but that does not matter.
Sabahans MUST do more to stop the destruction of the environment. Rubbish strewn by the squatters is not a good thing. Pulau Gaya’s waste management is no acceptible.
Keep Sabah beautiful please, and evidently more and more people are going there for its beauty…..
    Beauuuuuutiiiiful Sabah Bah!

They say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. There is beauty everywhere (of course Sabah is very beautuful as Tony Yew has mentioned). TV Smith has this gift to vision beauty and capture it on camera. I was with TV Smith when he took loads and loads of pix in KK. I took pix too but not as beautifully as the ones TV Smith took. All the same Sabah is beautiful…very beautiful. Keep it Beautiful!

TV Smith for photography as in word smith for superb writers. Man, that guy is another package when it comes to capturing moments. You did not like that pic on the sparkling waters during a slight drizzle….also taken from the same balcony. He is good because he doesnt snore like the others in his apartment.

Bro. I went into KK with a mission to meet Hantu Laut. The KL chapter of Anak Bangsa Malaysia wants to learn from Sabah. Integration in Sabah is definitely of a higher standard than Peninsula. Yes I met Hantu. We might even make a trip there for your Bloggers Meet on 2 August…..keep me informed thru email please.

My favourite is actually the shot where the tourists tried to “build an anatomically correct sandman”! :D

Give someone the most expensive camera, but if they don’t have the eyes and thinking of a photographer… tidak jugak menjadi tu. I like his style man. Baru pulak saya tau ada ini urang.
