I just dont understand, in the first place, why dont the SESB/govt/whoever is concerned build electric fence around the tower, running on 2000v to hinder the thieves from reaching the tower?

I read somewhere that the electric chair used in the US has “only” 2,000 volts. Now 132,000 volts is more than 60 times stronger than that!

Is the pace of building powerplants in Sabah comparable to the other states? Or is it much slower? And don’t tell me Sabah has the least amount of reserve power in the whole country?

let say there are around 3 million people in sabah and times that with 90% = 3,000,000 x 90% = 2.7 million people affected…….

so in my humble opinion, the culprit/culprits who stole those 20 metal pylons to be sold as scrap metal should be executed by electrocution of up to 132,000 volts - the same capacity of the transmission line that collapsed!!!

i asked a SESB technician, what will happen if human beings touch a live 132,000 volts cable - and he said that person will turn into a ‘black superman” which means not only will he turns black but the sheer force will throw him some 300 feets into the air…. and dead of course

that means our reserve in the event of power failure is only 23.9 megawatt…. that;s why we need more power plant… singapore alone has a minimum generation capacity of more than 2,000 megawatt!!!!!!!
