High School Musical : The Concert (El Concierto) in Buenos Aires, May 2007
September 16th, 2007The cast of Disney’s most successful franchise ever, High School Musical did a 40-city tour of the USA, Canada and Latin America November 2006 to May 2007. The following is a selection of videos from the concert in Buenos Aires, one of the last (if not the very last) leg of the tour. Zac Efron was not there (he was busy with another project), but Drew Seeley, the guy who actually sang his parts in the film did.
Stroke of genius (music-themed movie surely will spawn concerts like this: guaranteed money spinner) – if they did the concert in Malaysia surely kids and the young at heart will be scrambling for tickets.
Some trivia:
- The official DVD of the concert entitled High School Musical, The Concert – Extreme Access Pass features only the North American leg of the tour
- The soundtrack for High School Musical has sold almost 6 million copies worldwide.
- The next tour will be end of 2008. Will they come to Kuala Lumpur?
- “Breaking Free” and “When There Was Me & You” was written by Jamie Houston.
- The soundtrack is the first TV soundtrack to be No.1 in the Billboard since Miami Vice.
- The highest charting single on Billboard is Breaking Free (peaked at no.4).
