Maybe i can give some explainations regarding to somes issues.. 1) They prefered to call it a PARK instead off ZOO b-coz the terms of ZOO is actually something like a small cage, where animals have no space to lingers around, so they decided to call it a PARK to give the impression of OPEN CAGE CONSEPT.. 2) The PRICE = well if you go to S'pore ZOOLOGICAL PARK, the fee is about SD 30.00 equivalence to RM90-RM100. Where can you find a place where you can see almost 80% of it is an exotic animals and some of it might become history. They have to spend RM130K monthly just for the sack to feed (food,suppliment,vitamins,milk...) the wildlife..Ya, gov will sponsored but not that much, they have to depends on the visitor's fee.. 3) Other ANIMALS= Actually the park had ordered quite numbers of animals from other zoo in malaysia, but lately it is not really safe to bring the animals here b-coz of diseased such as KUKU & KAKI, BIRDs FLU ect... they have to wait untill it's really safe to transfered the animals coz if they bring it without looking for the possibilities, we might lost all the Wildlife in Sabah especially the exotic and endangered species if the diseased spread...
